The stage director Mihai Maniutiu takes Georg Buchner’s Danton’s Death and the French Revolution from which it starts as a pretext to analyze the implications of the revolution at the individual’s level. His show has the force of a discourse that sifts out the power games from the intimacy they tear apart, with the participation of a company of consummate professionals who go onstage without reserves to captivate the audience.
