The director Alexandru Dabija, recently distinguished with the National Theater Award, is a constant, but unpredictable presence on Romanian stages. This season he staged an American contemporary play at the Odeon, managing to put together an “all-star” cast. After featuring alongside top American stars in movies produced by the biggest industry in the world, Marcel Iures goes onstage at the Odeon in the company of Dorina Lazar, herself a star of Romanian cinema, and Antoaneta Zaharia, one of the younger stars of our theater. A handful of great actors good at telling stories, guided by a subtle, but sure-handed director who loves nuances.
