They decide to use a powerful elixir simulating the death of the one who drinks it, in order to get time to organize their elopement. But the wrong calculation and the naivety of the servants generate a night full of fears, tangles and pranks. At dawn, everything will be solved, and the lovers will finally be able to turn to the much-desired wedding, in spite of a series of difficulties that they have to face. Romeo and Juliet’s classical story is revised through the masks and characters of Commedia dell’Arte. Ambiguity, ghostly apparitions, imaginary and real spirits, in a storm of farces, troubles and emotions.” (Enrico Bonavera)
