Performative reading in NTF 2024

We find ourselves at the end of the analog era. Mankind has migrated into a new digital world where everyone has the opportunity to play God. In this world, a clash is taking place between the older generation, which carries the guilt the real world collapsing, and the new generation, crushed by the responsibility of building a world from scratch.

“If you could escape into a virtual reality, if you could decide, what reality would you create? If you had power, what would the perfect world look like for you? If you could decide, what rules would there be? Is your dream world a happy one or a nightmare? Would you give life or kill? Would you torture, perhaps? In a perfect world where you could decide everything, how free or not would people be? What colours would your perfect world be? What untold stories would be told? What roles would you play in this world of absolute freedom, where you can choose who you are, who you want to be, where you can do everything differently, finally?” (Emre Akal)
