The Octopus delves into the life of a seemingly ordinary contemporary family, seen through the eyes of a teenager, exploring the challenges of youth in today’s tumultuous world and the struggle of forming one’s identity in a society fraught with crisis.
The narrative centers on David as he becomes a source of concern for his parents, teachers and friends. His journey is emblematic of a broader generational struggle, capturing the essence of a coming-of-age story with all its inherent poetry and turmoil. In a manner reminiscent of ancient tragedies, The Octopus reveals how children often mirror the flaws and sins of their parents, whether they are revered or fallible.
