As in every festival autumn, words uttered on the stage will be completed by written words. The 23rdedition of the NTF comes with a rich collection of theater books for sale. A guest of the Festival withThe Trojan Women, the show he directed at the Romanian National Opera of Iaşi, the stage director Andrei Şerban will attend the launching of the collective volume The Workshop Book, dedicated to his Traveling Academy and published in Nemira’s Yorick collection. The event will take place on Saturday, 26 October, at 11:00, at Löwendal Foundation.

The same publishers are dealing a heavy blow to second-hand bookstores with a new translation of Konstantin Sergeyevich Stanislavsky’s The Work of the Actor on Himself, the Bible of modern theater, translated by Raluca Rădulescu, with a preface by the stage director Yuri Kordonsky. The event will take place on Thursday, 31 October, at 16:30, at Löwendal Foundation.

Under the title On Dictators and Other Demons, the theater critic Cristina Rusiecki publishes, in the form of a “rehearsal diary”, her impressions about Julius Caesar, directed by Alexander Hausvater at the Timişoara National Theater. The book will be launched on Saturday, 2 November, at 20:30, in the foyer of Odeon Theater’s Majestic Hall. The new books are accompanied by a quarterly published in the rather barren landscape of the genre, the culture magazine Infinitezimal, whose director is the theater critic Sebastian-Vlad Popa. The book launch will take place on Wednesday, 30 October, at 13:00, at Löwendal Foundation.
