Besides ludicrous situations, explosive dialogues and hilarious movements, Francis Veber’s play is surely not lacking psychological consistency either, which makes for a performance on everybody’s liking. Just as the title of the play foretells, the dialogue does not enter any dark areas, the writing flows extremely natural, and thus sets in motion a whole mechanic of laughter. Francis Veber possesses the grate talent of writing great fables full of many coup de théâtre. It is utterly impossible to stop the cascade of laughter that this vaudeville sets off.
