“Comedia Remix” is a vast, 3- components project of retrieval of theatre memory, coordinated by Cristina Modeanu and Maria Drăghici: a photo exhibition, a documentary film and a bilingual catalogue.

“The Comedy Theatre is present at this edition of the NTF with the performance The Stronger and the project Comedia Remix, an extraordinary document about our theatre. It’s important to speak about our first years, the fantastic years of the Comedy Theatre- this theatre has to keep those standards of those moments. I am thinking of the performances The Shadow, Troilus and Cresida, Rhinoceros”, said actorGeorge Mihăiţă, the manager of the Comedy Theatre to the guests before the actual screening of the film, that contains testimonials of those who were witnesses of the history of the Comedy Theatre: directors David Esrig, Lucian Giurchescu and Sanda Manu, actors Sanda Toma, Gheorghe Dinică, Marin Moraru, Radu Beligan, George Mihăiţă, Stela Popescu, critic Ion Cazaban.

George Mihăiţă, the host of the event saluted the presence of director Lucian Giurchescu, former director of the institution and of actress Sanda Toma. “My childhood was here, together with you. I thank you for all you have done for the Comedy Theatre and for me!” Due to the fact that the two authors of the event were not present for objective reasons, the manager of the Comedy Theatre read a message from Cristina Modreanu: “I feel closer to theatre today, to Romanian theatre, on which the Comedy Theatre left its essential marks”.

In her turn, Aura Corbeanu, executive vice president of UNITER and executive director of the NTF, saluted the action of the hosts of the event.

“All our gratitude and our respect for what you do offer us! We do appreciate a lot what the Comedy Theatre does in respect of marking down the history of Romanian theatre.  We hope you will continue to strive and we will continue to support you, since this is the mission of UNITER. We do believe in what you do, we love and respect you. I would also like to salute the presence of Mr. Radu Boroianu, who has supported us whole- heartedly!”, Aura Corbeanu concluded in a very warm tone.
