“I strongly believe that, in order to have local relevant and powerful playwriting, we need to create contexts that foster and support the production of new texts. The National Theatre Festival is a high visibility context, that this year also provides a representation opportunity for contemporary playwriting – which needs to be seen and heard.” (Mihaela Mihailov, NTF curator, alongside Oana Cristea Grigorescu and Călin Ciobotari).
