7 - 11 November 2022 | www.fnt.ro CLOSED CIRCUIT EVENT For 5 days, students of the Theatrology departments of Theater Universities meet online or live with theater critics and theoreticians in the performing arts field, in order to explore together various approach manners regarding theater reviews and theory. Oltița Cîntec, 11 November, between 11.00 - 13.00 (on line) - „Receptarea critică și noile medii“ [same_day_events_link] The project is based on the faith in the future of Romanian theater and the belief that Theatrology departments are true creation labs for the future of this field. It is hence even more appropriate that the National Theater Festival joins educational efforts and creates context for dialogue and fertile contexts. These workshops, as part of the INTERSECTIONS IN THE NTF: Fluid pedagogics, will be presented by: Oltița Cîntec, Marina Constantinescu, Claudiu Groza, Marian Popescu, Miruna Runcan, Cristina Rusiecki and Maria Zărnescu.

In order to discover that - if you are lucky enough to have good teachers, important encounters and a little bit of luck - Theater opens ways to things beyond the stage. Launching of the Multimedia Dictionary of Romanian Theater, 3rd edition
8 November| 18:30 – Odeon Theater, Studio Hall FREE ADMISSION (limited places available) The Multimedia Dictionary of Romanian Theater is a digital platform created in order to provide new, specialized content, but also to coagulate the information already available online about legendary artists and cult performances of Romanian theater. This is the platform's third edition. While the research for previous editions focused on the modern period of Romanian theater, 1950-1990, in 2022 the MDRT (DMTR) has documented the memory of theater between 1989-2000. Great directors who are still landmarks of the Romanian theater movement - – Andrei Șerban, Silviu Purcărete, Mihai Măniuțiu, Gábor Tompa, Alexandru Darie, Victor Ioan Frunză, Alexandru Dabija - created during those years performances that define the recent history of Romanian theater and deserve their place in the cultural memory of Romanian stage.
