The Ethics of the creative process debate brings forward a discussion with three guest directors, two of which have been recently promoted to theatre managers, about the creative lab of rehearsals as a safe work environment.
The event is part of the NTF Debates module.
Guests: Catinca Drăgănescu, Elena Morar, Radu Alexandru Nica and Marian Popescu
Moderator: Oana Cristea Grigorescu
Duration: 1h 30 min
Starting from the director as an auteur of the performance and ending with creative collaborations, the creative process paradigm raises the problem of making sure the environment is safe. In this context, we question the individual responsability and that of the group as well as the role of the institution itself in ensuring a reasonable and safe workspace. Between supervising of the creative process and excessive ethical norms, we look for the in-between that would stimulate both artists and stage creativeness.
