“Our performance Persona was not born out of an intention to pay homage. Our aim was not that of praising Bergman, of raising him high like a flag, on an official date. Despite all that, we willingly and energetically take part in the events around Bergman’s Centenary, because Bergman needs to stay in the centre of cultural attention wherever film and theatre pretend to have something to say. I believe that the most important heritage that Bergman left us is the one closely linked to our inner world. A world that we rarely get to express in words, a world wrapped up in secrets, where everything becomes possible.”
