Fluttering between drama and comedy, The Night Alive explores the lives of a few lost souls… and a chance meeting that may change their course. The whole action takes place in Dublin, in the messy room where Tommy, a middle-aged man, lives. He has been drifting through life in the past two years, making ends meet through whatever crackpot schemes he and his friend Doc can come up with.

When Tommy rescues a young prostitute named Aimee from a beating on the street, a glimmer of hope makes him feel that he can eventually make something of his life. The past, however, cannot be easily left behind, and everything might fall apart when a man from Aimee’s past makes an unwelcome appearance.
