22 Oct | 12:00, Kube Musette Gallery (Exhibition Grand Opening)
20 – 30 Oct| Kube Musette Gallery
In the good tradition of our collaboration with the National Theatre Festival, the Kube Musette Gallery in Victoria Boulevard, Bucharest, is once again the host of a unique exhibition: the theatre shoe.
A character in itself, the shoe can reveal the most intimate and subtle traits of the person wearing it, as well as attitudes, tension and mystery. Over-decorated or purely useful, intentionally rough or outright royal, the shoe is an element which always attracts the spectator’s eyes and fundamentally defines the personality and the balance of the character that it embodies.
The exhibition is the result of exploring the creative laboratory of four renowned set designers: Doina Levintza, Lia Manţoc, Helmut Stürmer and Dragoş Buhagiar. The artistic exploration of each of them led to the creation of a unique style, whose conception, vision and means of expression are personal and recognizable for each of them. Our preliminary research had no boundaries, obligation or artistic demarcation. The collages, the sketches, the shoes en ronde bosse and any other initiative of these creators’ rich imagination are all gathered in a unique exhibition, in the modernist line of the gallery, a tribute to an essential element of the set design, the connection of the Actor to the Stage plank…
The visitors will thus applaud the arrival of the Theatre Shoe on the Kube Musette sui generis stage!
